黄荣教授长期以先进的球差校正扫描透射电镜(Cs-Corrected STEM)技术(包括HAADF、ABF、EDS、EELS等)为手段从原子尺度观察和研究各种功能材料的界面结构及其构效关系,尤以EDS和EELS分析见长,取得了有一定影响力的研究成果。在包括Nat Commun, Angew Chem In Ed, Adv Funct Mater, Adv Mater等国际著名刊物上发表研究论文二百余篇,总引用数7000余次,获授权专利5项,主持和参与包括国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家重点研发计划项目、上海市科委重点项目等多项国家级和省部级科研项目。
